Matthew was born and raised in the rural Texas countryside, often surrounded by dogs. Much of this exposure was due to being involved with his parents' search and rescue dog training business as a child. He received expert experience in the fields of search and rescue, cadaver, narcotics, and security training for T.A.S.K. (Texas Alliance of Search K-9's).
As an adult, he spent time with the U.S. Air Force serving his country in Texas, Utah, and Idaho, before settling in Fort Worth, Texas. At 26, he was introduced to team coordinator, John DelBane. After meeting J.D. and learning more about Lorenzo's Dog Training Team, Matthew set his sights on joining the team. His ultimate goal is to become a master trainer, while enriching the lives and relationships of his clients and their dogs.
When he's not training dogs, Matthew enjoys spending time with the love of his life, Caroline, their daughter and son, and their three rescue dogs. He also likes to tinker with classic motorcycles and loves to play disc golf.
